Pioneira da Costa Fishing Co. was founded by businessman Arlindo Isaac da Costa, who, still very young, began his career in fishing activity. His dynamic and enterprising spirit turned a dream into reality: in 1959 came the new company, which after established in the market became one of the best and biggest fishing companies in Brazil. The family administration made the company a strong brand that enjoys high credibility and confidence in the domestic and international markets. Pesqueira Pioneira da Costa is a brazilian company that acts strongly in the capture, processing, commercialization, exportation and Importation of all types of fish. Its industrial parks occupy a total of 13.000 m2 of built area, headquartered in Florianópolis and with a processing unit in Porto Belo.

TIMELINE
UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY OF OUR COMPANY
In 1959 Sr. Arlindo Isaac da Costa creates the Fish Industry Ltda., in partnership with his brother and a friend, aiming the sales of fresh fish to the markets of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
In 1961 purchased his first fishing boat, The Don Isaac, licensed to operate throughout the Coastal South East / South of Brazil, practicing fishing trawler.
In 1969, founded the Pioneira da Costa Fishing Co., a family business, formed with his wife and children and initially located in the historic downtown of Florianópolis, Rua Francisco Tolentino, No. 15, where in addition to a pier, had a small refrigerator for 60 Tons of frozen fish.
Already in 1972 the company launched two fishing units to the sea, initiating a fleet of vessels that would later be formed by 18 Modern units, with electronic equipment for fish finding and operating in various fishing activities.
In 1974 Pioneira da Costa acquires a small industrial park located in Porto Belo, that after several enlargements today holds one of the largest industrial parks in Santa Catarina fishing, with storage capacity for more than 5 Thousand tons of frozen products, as well as modern automatic freezing tunnels and rooms for fish handling.
In 1989 the company has its Head Office transferred to the R. 14 July, No. 612, next to the Port of Santa Catarina.
In the year 2009 the company transfers its administrative sector also for the city of Porto Belo, centralizing its business operations, bureaucratic and industrial and enabling, so, a better, faster and more efficient service to its customers.
Pioneira da Costa Fishing Co. now has a modern industrial complex, a fleet of its own and third party, and a fleet of vehicles carrying their cargoes to all the national territory. The company also exports its products to many different countries, such as Taiwan, Spain, France, Italy and Japan.

CAPTURE
Care and tradition since the first step
One of the strengths of the company is catching fish, because it has its own fleet of 18 vessels operating in the trawling, "emalhe", "cerco" and long-line. The next step is to expand its fleet, with the construction of larger vessels and technology, aimed for ocean fishing of tuna and deep-sea trawling. Due to it's excellent knowledge of the market system and the partnership it has with a large number of other vessels, the company offers a diverse range of products during the year, even in the off-season.
